What is Oxygen Coach?

An introduction to the current private beta and where the product is headed.

Altitude training works—when the dose, the response and the athlete's actual goal are understood together. Oxygen Coach is being built to replace guesswork with personal data.

Whether an athlete is sleeping in an altitude tent, training in a hypoxic room or spending time at natural elevation, the same questions remain: is the exposure producing a useful signal, is the athlete tolerating it and what should happen next?

Your real overnight response, not a guess

Oxygen Coach can combine authorised data from Apple Health, Oura and other supported sources with the altitude exposure itself. Overnight SpO₂, heart rate, HRV and sleep are reviewed against the athlete's own baseline and expected response, rather than treated as isolated numbers.

A plan that adapts to the athlete

From the athlete's history and goal, the app can build an editable, graduated plan—ramping, holding or reducing exposure around a target date while taking recent sleep and recovery information into account. The plan distinguishes between natural altitude, simulated-altitude sleep, passive sessions and training exposure.

Know what may be retained

Altitude adaptation fades after exposure stops. Oxygen Coach models an estimated adaptation and haemoglobin-mass index over time so users can see a projected trend and consider whether a maintenance session may be useful. These are modelled estimates, not direct laboratory measurements.

An AI Coach grounded in your data

The AI Coach answers from a compact summary of the athlete's own data and can propose a specific altitude session for review. The athlete remains responsible for reviewing and confirming any session before it is saved.

Blood markers without building a pathology service

Users can record dated ferritin, haemoglobin, transferrin saturation and haemoglobin-mass checkpoints. The aim is to place altitude exposure in context—not diagnose iron deficiency or prescribe treatment.

Coach sharing is now in beta

Athletes can invite a coach and control access to altitude sessions, overnight response, profile and adaptation information, and blood-test checkpoints. The current work is expanding this foundation into the coach workflow: multi-athlete oversight, attention alerts, notes and reviewed session proposals.

Built for real training, not a lab. Oxygen Coach can work with natural altitude, an altitude tent or room, Box Altitude hardware and supported wearable platforms. Manual logging remains available when no device is connected.

Where this is headed

The product is in active private testing. The immediate priorities are improving personal altitude intelligence, coach oversight, wearable coverage and transparent confidence around every estimate.
